🚀 Do you want to teach your child something but don't know how to do it without them looking at you with a "you're doing the talking again" look on their face?
I have an idea that can transform those moments: create personalised stories with ChatGPT where your child is the main character. Yes, the hero of the story. With his name, his age, his tastes, and even that prank he pulled today.
And no, you don't need to know anything about programming. Just copy, paste and replace a few words.
🤖 What is this?
One way to use ChatGPT to:
- Connecting emotionally with your child
- Reinforcing values and learning without lectures
- Leave him a teaching disguised as a story (and he asks you for another one).
✍️ Step-by-step to create the personalised tale
- Login to ChatGPT (free or Plus version, it doesn't matter)
- You copy this prompt which I leave below 👇
- Replace the fields with the NIN@'s data and the situation of the day.replace only what is between [] and in bold before *******. You do not need to replace or touch anything else after the asterisks.
- That's it! You have a unique, tailor-made story in seconds.

I want you to create a story for a child called [CHILD_NAME], aged [AGE].
This child likes [THINGS_THAT_HE_LIKES] and dislikes [THINGS_HE_DOES_NOT_LIK].
Today he had a situation that I want you to use as the basis of the story: [BRIEF_DESCRIPTION_OF_THE_PROBLEM or CONFLICT].

📘 The Big Rayo-Rex Car
A children's story about sharing, empathy and adventure.
Once upon a time, in a valley hidden among mountains of pillows and shaggy trees, there was a small, fast-moving dinosaur named Lightning-Rex. Lightning-Rex was no ordinary dinosaur: he had wheels instead of legs and could run faster than the wind. He loved running through the fields, racing butterflies and listening to bedtime stories about the stars.
One day, while Rayo-Rex was practising his turbo turns, his little sister, Mini-Dina, approached him with beady eyes.
-Can I play with you and your supercar? -he asked sweetly.
Rayo-Rex frowned. He didn't like to share his favourite car. It was his special car, with fiery stripes and buttons that made funny noises.
-No! It's mine! -he shouted, his engine roaring with anger, "I don't want you to break it!
Mini-Dina lowered her head and walked sadly away, while the sun in the valley was hiding a little bit.
Lightning-Rex kept running, but he didn't feel so fast anymore. Something in his heart seemed heavier than his wheels. That night, as he listened to the tale told by the stars, one of them - the brightest - spoke to him.
-Ray-Rex, running is great, but running with others is even better. Sometimes, when you share what you love, you discover new ways to have fun... and to love.
The next day, Lightning-Rex looked for Mini-Dina.
-Hey... I got mad yesterday. I didn't want you to play with my car... but maybe we could play together. Just... be careful, okay?
Mini-Dina smiled so hard that her scales almost fell off.
From that day on, Rayo-Rex and Mini-Dina became the fastest team in the valley, sharing races, laughs and even some friendly clashes.
And that's the end of the story.
Moral: Sharing can be difficult at first, but sharing with love can turn a difficult moment into a happy new adventure.
🔁 Creative variations
- Make a series of stories with the same character.
- Use a different story each night depending on what happened that day.
- Adapt it for specific emotional learning situations
Why does it work?
Because children learn best when they see themselves reflected. It is not the same thing to tell him "you have to share with your sister". to read him a story where the main character (with the same name as him) learns on its own what you wanted to tell him.
And you don't waste energy arguing. Win-win.
Where do I use it?
- Before going to sleep
- In times of conflict
- To explain something new (change of house, arrival of a new sibling, etc.)
- As a daily tradition: "Today's story about you".
